Olympiad Registration

General Process

An overview of the registration requirements, exam structure, and participation guidelines.

Cost Details

  • Students may select up to 5 subjects for participation.

  • Qualifier slot fee: AED 60 per subject.

  • Study material (optional): AED 60 per subject.
    The study material provides an overview of the syllabus and question pattern and does not guarantee questions in the exam.

Syllabus

  • The exam syllabus is based on the current school syllabus, irrespective of curriculum.

  • Students must be prepared according to the grade/year selected at the time of registration.

Registration Guidelines

  • Registration must be completed according to the current grade/year at the time of registration, regardless of exam date.

  • For academic years beginning in August/September, registration should be done based on the grade/year as of August.

  • Students may register for a higher grade/year than their current school level.

  • Registering for a lower grade/year will result in immediate disqualification.

Mode of Examination

Multiple exam modes are available depending on school partnership and student preference.

Partner School Students

Students from partner schools will write the exam at their school in either offline or online mode. Please check with your school coordinator or contact us to confirm partner school status.

Non-Partner School Students

Students from non-partner schools may write the exam at our offline exam centres across the UAE. Please contact us for centre details.

Online Examination

Students may opt for an online, strictly proctored exam, which can be taken from any location worldwide.

Exam Structure

The Olympiad qualifiers are conducted in two rounds

Round 1 – Qualifiers

  • Eligibility: Grade 1 / Year 2 to Grade 12 / Year 13

  • Exam Window: Mid-September to Mid-October

  • Format: 30 MCQs

  • Duration: 40 minutes

  • Results: Mid-November to Mid-December

Round 2 – Advanced Qualifiers

  • Eligibility: Grade 8 / Year 9 to Grade 12 / Year 13

  • Selection: Top 10 students from Round 1 based on percentile cutoff

  • Exam Window: Mid-November to Mid-December

  • Format: 45 MCQs

  • Duration: 60 minutes

  • Results: Mid-January to Mid-February

Certificates & Awards

Participation certificates and merit-based awards are issued based on exam performance.

Participation Certificates

  • Students not shortlisted for Round 2 will receive a Participation Certificate after Round 1.

  • Students shortlisted for Round 2 will receive their certificate after completing Round 2.

  • Students who qualify for Round 2 but do not appear for the exam will not be eligible for certificates.

  • Certificates can be collected through exam centres; details will be announced at the time of result declaration.

Medals & Recognition

  • Top 3 students will receive Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals along with special certificates.

  • Awards will be presented during the Felicitation Ceremony held in May/June.

International Competition Eligibility

Participation in international competitions is subject to age restrictions and eligibility criteria set by the respective organizing authorities. National team selection is based on both age eligibility and Olympiad qualification results.

Grade 1/Year 2 to Grade 4/Year 5

    • The Olympiad exams are for practice purposes only
    • They will write only one round of exam
    • All the students will get participation certificate. These certificates can be collected through the Exam centers. Details for the same will be announced at the time of result declaration

Grade 5/Year 6 to Grade 7/Year 8

      • The Olympiad qualifiers are for SELECTION to International Olympiad Competitions-IMSO, IMC, HOMC-Junior. For more information about international competitions please visit the section Mathematics Olympiad under Olympiad Subjects
      • They will write only one round of qualifier
      • Top students will be selected for the National Team Training Program. Depending on their performance in the training program they will get an opportunity to represent UAE in respective International Competitions. Grade 8/Year 9 to Grade 12/Year 13

    • The Olympiad qualifiers are for SELECTION to International Olympiad Competitions-IMO, IOAA, BMO, HOMC-Junior, HOMC- Senior. For more information about international competitions please visit the section Mathematics Olympiad under Olympiad Subjects
    • They will write two rounds of qualifiers, Round 1 & Round 2
    • Top students will be selected for the National Team Training Program. Depending on their performance in the training program they will get an opportunity to represent UAE in respective International Competitions. Grade 1/Year 2 to Grade 4/Year 5

Grade 5/Year 6 to Grade 7/Year 8

  • Top students will be selected for the National Team Training Program. Grade 1/Year 2 to Grade 7/Year 8

    • They will write two rounds of qualifiers, Round 1 & Round 2
    • Top students will be selected for the National Team Training Program. Grade 11/Year 12 to Grade 12/Year 13

Grade 11/Year 12 to Grade 12/Year 13

    • They will write two rounds of qualifiers, Round 1 & Round 2
    • Top students will be selected for the National Team Training Program. Grade 11/Year 12 to Grade 12/Year 13

    • Top students will be selected for the National Team Training Program. Grade 10/Year 11 to Grade 12/Year 13
